Welcome to TX-QTPIES

TX-QTPIES is a new, family owned, very small cattery. We started the cattery in 2016.  We  are located in Central Texas.  I am a retired school teacher and LOVE Devon Rex cats.  We had one Devon Rex who passed on after giving us almost 17 years of loving.  We bought two more Devons this year (Storm and Ruby - Storm had to be spayed, then was successfully re-homed).  We then bought our next baby, Willow, and kept one of her babies from her first litter (a silver mackeral tabby and white).

Because we are only a hobby, we do not have kittens available often. If you are interested in
getting a cat or kitten from us, please check back on our website frequently.

About the Devon Rex

The Devon Rex breed originated in England and they are short-haired cats with slender bodies and wavy/curly coats. These cats are known to be very intelligent, able to master difficult tricks and even recognize their owner’s name as well as their own.

Though they are often compared to the Cornish Rex, they are not related. Devon Rex cats have more hair than just the down hair that the Cornish Rex has. They are medium sized and are often called “alien” or “pixie cat” due to their large ears, eyes, and wide heads. They have light bodies with long legs and unusually large toes.

These cats are very acrobatic, mischievous, active and playful. They prefer to be in high places and get into nooks and crannies. They also often bond with a certain person in the household, enjoying resting on their neck or shoulders. They are very loyal and affectionate and follow their human(s) everywhere.
